Through the Resource Project, UAMPS conducts analyses and studies of new power supply and transmission projects as well as energy efficiency programs. Separate investigations are conducted for each new resource and program and the Members have the option of participating in all, some or none of these studies. The resource investigations presently under study include wind, geothermal and solar projects, as well as baseload and intermediate power supply projects in Utah and other states. In addition to its investigation of new power supply resources, the Resource Project is presently providing the platform for Members to implement energy efficiency programs for their consumers. The Resource Project is also assisting Members in completing inventories of their carbon dioxide emissions.
