The IPP Unit 3 Project was investigating the aquisition of a third unit at IPP with certain other public power utilities. The proposed third unit would be a 900-megawatt coal-fired generating station. As a result of several factors, active negotiations for the development of third unit have been suspended. UAMPS has brought legal actions against IPA and the IPP operating agent. UAMPS cannot predict the outcome of such legal actions or whether and when further development efforts may take place with respect to a third unit at IPP.
