UAMPS has established the Firm Power Project to provide for the aquisition by UAMPS of firm supplies of power and energy under contracts with other power suppliers. The firm power supplies acquired by UAMPS are resold to the Members. The Firm Power Supply Agreements are master agreements that can accommadate multiple power supply transactions. Currently, UAMPS has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with PPM Energy, subsequently purchased by Iberdrola Renewables, to purchase output from a wind turbine electrical generation facility in Uinta County, Wyoming.

39 Members participate in the Firm Power Project of which 16 participate in the PPM Energy Transaction.
