UAMPS has undertaken the Central-St. George Transmission Project to improve the quality and reliability of transmission service to its Members in Washington County, Utah. The Central-St. George Transmission Project presently includes the following components: (1) a 345-138 kV substation; (2) 21 miles of double-circuit 138 kV transmission lines; (3) a 138 kV switching station; and (4) certain related facilities and improvements. In 2005, UAMPS entered into a Joint Operating Agreement with PacifiCorp that provides for the expansion of the tranmission capacity to serve loads in Washington County, Utah through construction projects jointly planned by the parties.
