San Juan Plant

UAMPS acquired its 7.028 percent undivided ownership interest in Unit 4 of the San Juan Station in 1994. The San Juan Station, located northwest of Farmington, New Mexico, provides approximately 35 megawatts of capacity and energy through a coal-fired, steam-electric generating plant. Unit 4, in commercial operation since 1979, is jointly owned by Public Service Company of New Mexico, the City of Farmington, New Mexico, M-S-R Public Power Agency, the County of Los Alamos, New Mexico, the City of Anaheim, California, and UAMPS.
