Hunter II, part of the Hunter Station in Emery County, Utah, is a coal fired, steam-electric generating unit with a net capacity of 430 megawatts. Hunter jointly owned by PacifiCorp, Deseret Generation & Transmission Co-operative and UAMPS, has commercially operated since June 1980. UAMPS owns an undivided 14.582 percent interest in Unit II, representing approximately 63 megawatts of capacity and energy. The Hunter resource is used by UAMPS to meet base load need.
